I found this in Princess's room earlier this week:
"I hate my mom so much. I mean hate."
This stuff really upsets Hubster, but I find it kind of humorous. I asked her if it made her feel better. She said no. I asked her if she wanted to throw it away. She said yes.
Hubster requests that you read the edited version of what I posted yesterday. Somehow blogger ate half a paragraph about his autograph collecting. He has demanded a reprint - and rightfully so since the missing sentences made it look like he's obsessed with RuPaul. Sorry Hubster!
We had a good day babysitting my friend's eight month old little girl. I was worried Princess would struggle with sharing me with a baby, especially once I learned she was up until 2 AM at BFF's house, but she did great! We had her all day and Princess did most of the care giving. We went to an outdoor movie in the evening. BFF was also there, but with another child. Princess sobbed all the way home after the movie. She was up two hours past her usual bedtime tonight. BFF is sleeping at our house tonight and spending the day with us tomorrow. I'm so hoping Princess gets in a big nap before she comes. And I'm hoping BFF arrives exhausted so they both get a good sleep in tonight!

I think it is great that she is expresses her anger in (more) appropriate ways like that, I to think it is humors. As well as great that you see it for what it is worth, sometimes kids get mad at their parents.
ReplyDeleteI also think it is great that she is getting the opportunity to provide care for a younger child, I believe it helps build on human connections and empathy, especially with kids from tough places…I wish more kids today got the same opportunities to babysit that kids had a generation ago…I wonder how they are going to know how to parent without ever having the chance to practice???
